Fernando Gonzalez has been forced to withdraw from the upcoming Davis Cup match against Croatia due to a sciatic nerve injury that is causing him "great pain.". Gonzalez, who is the best ranked Chilean player, had not played a match since he beat Jose Acasuso, 6-1, 6-3, to win the Viña del Mar title in Chile earlier this month.
